My Journey.....
My journey started with Weight Watchers. I would finish the program to get ready for an event and then as soon as it was over start binge eating. Then I followed the diabetic diet each time I was pregnant for gestational diabetes, but after weaning babies would balloon again. Then I followed Blood Type O diet, Paleo, Vegan, Carb/Protein Ratio, Intermittent Fasting, Auto Immune Protocol Diet, SBO Diet, and Beyond Body. If you look at the places all of those match, that truly is exactly what my body wants. I looked up my ancestors: Iroquois, Cherokee, Celtic Druids, Anglo Saxons, and French.... I studied what they ate.... and it was everything my body can tolerate. I have finally made the CHOICE to eat a balance nutritious group of foods, in proportion to my body's needs, drink plenty of water, take necessary vitamins, minerals, and herbs, as well as exercise. I am learning to view food the way God created it, NOURISHMENT, not a god to worship! Which is hard... I always told people I have a love relationship with Jesus Christ and food is my religion. No more.... with Type 1 Diabetes, my life depends on it!

My goal for this page is to take you on my culinary journey, to inspire and encourage you, to show you that it is doable, affordable, enjoyable, and honorable to love your body well.
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10:31

First we eat, then we do everything else." -Mary Frances Kennedy Fisher
My struggle.......
My entire life I have struggled with self control when it comes to my eating. I swing on a pendulum from starvation to entirely overweight. The answer was so simple all along... SELF control! My body is my temple and God's Holy Spirit deserves to live in a body that respects him. I have now learned that the sacrifice between what I want to do and what I have decided to do out of obedience is a great way to glorify my God.
